This collaboration includes Cleveland Clinic Emergency Medicine physician James Sauto, MD being named their EMS program Medical Director . Included in this package is access to their 48 Hour Paramedic and 30 hour EMT Refresher courses to ALL CCF Medical Direction Personnel and CCF ED Paramedics at NO COST .

What is the Cleveland Clinic MyLearning Platform and how does it work?

The Cleveland Clinic MyLearning system is a Learning Management System (LMS) that is now available to Non Cleveland Clinic Employees. We are hosting ALL of our online education via this platform. In order to access the course you will have to complete a one time registration into the system and you will then be able to search for EMS topics of interest, complete the course and short assessment exam, submit a course evaluation and download your certificate of completion. ALL FROM WITHIN THE MyLEARNING PORTAL . MyLearning will track courses you completed and archive certificates for future downloads if needed.

Do the Online courses meet the State of Ohio and National Registry recertification criteria?

Course topics will be updated regularly and will comply with State and NREMT NCCP recertification guidelines. Course formats vary… from narrated power point and PREZI presentation, videos, knowledge checks, PDF documents and other e-learning formats.

Are Certificates of Completion issued for all course?

Yes, Certificates of Completion are downloaded directly from the MyLearning platform after completing all of the course completion requirements. NO waiting for Certificate to be emailed or missing emails due to them being recognized as spam.

What happened to the EMS Refreshers Courses that were previously offered for free?

Who is the Cleveland Clinic EMS Coordinator and EMS Medical Director responsible for my Fire/EMS Department?

Every Regional Hospital and FHC within the Cleveland Clinic Health System has an EMS Coordinator from our team who acts as a liaison between the Hospital/FHC and the Fire/EMS Department. You can go HERE to find out who that team member is. Region EMS Medical Directors are responsible for multiple area departments that surround the regional hospitals and have elected to affiliate with the Cleveland Clinic for medical direction. A list of EMS Medical Directors can be found HERE. All members of our team are State of Ohio EMS Instructors and will coordinate with your departments in order to provide you with Continuing Education opportunities. Reach out to any team member for assistance if needed.
